Ermolino airport will become a Moscow one till the end of 2014. It is planned to create a state-financed airport in Ermolino. The project was announced by “Utair” aircompany, which entered into an agreement with the Kaluga Region. It is planned to place 20 “Airbus 320” planes in Ermolino.

“Utair” air company offered other air carriers to create a hub for needs of Moscow on the base of Ermolino airport. Introducing of Ermolino in Moscow airnode will allow to unload partially capital airports: now planes have to fly over Moscow waiting for the permission for landing from half an hour till one hour. Besides, it is planned to build a railway branch to Ermolino to connect the airport with Vnukovo airport in Moscow.
