Exhibition of Sergey Alimov Opens in Moscow

On May 31 the Veresov Gallery in Moscow will open an exhibition of Sergey Alimov’s illustrations to the famous poem Dead Souls by Nikolai Gogol.

      
In honor of the 75th anniversary since the artist’s birthday the exhibition project will present to the audience a series of graphic art works created in the silk-screen printing technique, which is new for the author.

      
The well-known animator, the author of the immortal character of Bonifatsy continues to create new images. Sergey Alimov's professional activity is closely associated with theater – he works as an art director on performances for the Obraztsov Central Puppet Theater. These two spheres do not limit the sphere of Alimov’s creative interests. He is a well-known illustrator and the author of drawings for more than 100 books.

      
The exhibition will run till June 30.
