Celebrations of the jubilee of Kliment Timiryazev will include a unique photo exhibition from the collection of personal photos of the outstanding scientist.

      The scientist’s exclusive photo archive consisting of more than 4000 negatives on glass plates and goes on exciting general admiration even today. The quality of photos is surprising though they are more than hundred years old. This photo exhibition is special since all photos will be digitized and shown to public for the first time.

      The importance of this photo exhibition is that in spite of the fact that Kliment Timiryazev was a physiologist, a botanist, and an agronomist, he played a remarkable role in photography development in Russia. 

      The exhibition will run from June 1 to June 14 in the Fototsentr Association at the address 8, Gogolevsky Boulevard.
