Authorities have tried to return the original image to the entrance hall of the underground station “Clean ponds”. Granite columns of the entrance hall of the underground station “Clean ponds” were cleaned. Earlier they were half painted by solid finish paint of grey colour. The workers didn't managed to remove the paint fully. Because of special structure grey paint has worned inside and dirty spreads appeared.

The authorities of Moscow metropolitan have decided not to invite renovators for damaged memorial arrangement. It's not clear, for what reasons the columns of natural stone were painted. The underground workers informed that they tried to make better the station image by this method. According to the press relations serviceof Moscow metropolitan the columns were damaged by vandals, who painted with barrels and pasted announcements. After removing the announcements the markings of glue were left. And it's much easier to remove glue from painted surface than from rough granite. It's not still known whether Moscow metropolitan authorities are going to return the original image to the columns or not.
