Hundreds of call-boxes with Wi-Fi and a charge for mobile phones will appear in the capital.
The call-boxes of new generation will appear this summer in Moscow. The call-boxes of new generation will operate as a Wi-Fi point with cover radius of several dozens of meters and will have a device for public services payment, charges for all pads and mobile phones as well as reference books. Later such devices will replace all the old call-boxes in the city. First of all new call-boxes will be established in the center, at the promenade areas, where as a rule there are a lot of people. Till the end of the 2013 about 200 call-boxes of new generation will be placed in Moscow. With the help of new call-boxes the residents of the city and Moscow guests will have a possibility to watch city map and undergroud map as well as make a route. External devices will be similar to cash machines — with a display and device for cards and cash acceptance. Most probably, the access to public services payment, web sites and some information portals will be free.
