Danila Kozlovsky to Play Ostap Bender in TV Series

Danila Kozlovsky will play Ostap Bender in the TV series based on Ilf and Petrov”s novels Twelve Chairs and Gold Calf.


      
The project will be put into production by the World Russian Studios company.  It is expected that shootings of the TV series will take place in 2014. 

      Sergey Makovetsky can play the role of Kisa Vorobyaninov in the new series, whereas Pavel Derevyanko is a candidate for Shura Balaganov's role. It is known that the movie will be set not in the 1920s but in the modern days. Rauf Kubayev will be engaged in producing the series.

      By the way, among the projects prepared for release with participation of Kozlovsky there is the TV series Dubrovsky and the American fantasy movie Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters.
