Resort excavation in Staraya Russa (Novgorod Region) again gives surprises and adds up to archeologists’ knowledge about the history of this city.
Even pouring rains could not unsettle archeologists: water was pumped out from the excavation over and over again and researches proceeded. The first serious finds were made on the second day of researches. The key artifacts are lead seals: there are five of them, including one unexpected and so especially important seal.
By the middle of summer works in the Resort excavation are planned to be finished, and further on, in July, researches on the Pyatnitsky excavation will be continued.
