Thanks to him, lots of residents have learned about the destiny of their relatives who were missing during the Great Patriotic War.
Having been engaged in active search work, the young man has found more than 20 soldiers and officers in archives, formerly Sovetsky District locals, of whom nothing was known. By the way, his granduncle also happened to be among them.
Knowledge of German helped Vyacheslav to translate some cards of war prisoners from the German archive and thus to track destiny of Soviet soldiers, who had found themselves in fascist camps.
Vyacheslav Pikulev is a versatile personality: an admirer of history and archeology, he collects rare period pieces, and every year takes part in a disabled people’s festival.
