Since the start of 2013 Russia has sold weapons and military equipment worth over $7 billion, what makes half of the planned volume for this year, said the head of the Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation Alexander Fomin.
Last year the export volume of military production made up $ 15.16 billion or 111.8% of the planned volume. In comparison with 2011 this index increased $ 2 billion.
According to the rating composed by Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) Russia takes 26% of the world weapon market preceded only by the USA, which provides for one third of the world arms supplies. Germany is placed 3d (7%), followed by France (6%) and China (5%).
