Jan Svankmajer Cabinet of Curiosities to be Demonstrated in Moscow

On June 21 the Garage modern culture center will open an exhibition of the prominent Czech director, set designer and artist Jan Svankmajer.

The master became famous thanks to his eccentric movies which are both bewitching and shocking for the viewer. In his works the film director combines various genres: live action, stopframe animation, and puppet theater. Alive people, unusual subjects, and mechanisms constructed by the author appear as actors in his movies.

The Jan Svankmajer exhibition in the Garage Modern Culture Center will unfold to visitors all the variety of his creativity.

The exhibition runs till August 25.
