The exhibition is timed to the 150th anniversary since the birth of the well-known Russian artist Alexander Golovin (1863-1930), whose creativity harmoniously blended tradition and contemporaneity, chastity of neoclassicism and decorative refinement of Art Nouveau.
The exposition comprises about 150 works of painting, graphic art and theatrical and decorative art from collections of several museums. Visitors will also see original stage costumes from the Aleksandrinsky Theater (St. Petersburg), which were designed by A.Ya. Golovin.
The exhibition will run in the Russian Museum from June 20 till August 31.
