The Festival of Theaters of Small Russian Towns held in Pyatigorsk of the Stavropol Krai has been completed, the press service of the Stavropol Krai Resorts and Tourism Ministry reports.
The festival prize winners are the performances Fröken Julie by a theater studio from the Samara Region and Kings and Cabbage by a drama theater from Udmurtia. These plays will be presented on stage of the State Theater of Nations in Moscow.
The Best Actor prize has been awarded to Igor Fadeyev for his role of the Town Governor in The Inspector General by Minusinsk drama theater (Krasnoyarsk Territory). The best female role was played by Julia Bokuradze in Fröken Julie.
The best actors’ ensemble is performers of the play Cloud Paradise by the A.Savin Lysva drama theater from the Perm Territory, and the Avalanche play by I.S.Tsey National Theater of the Adygea Republic.
The theatrical forum annually brings together the best performances by provincial companies and introduces them to public on one stage.
