Chelyabinsk archeologists investigate a burial ground of the Bronze Age – for over one month scientists of the Chelyabinsk State University will study sepulchers of Arkaim era. 

      This year experts will pay special attention to a burial ground near the Stepnoye Settlement – it was partially unearthed in the 1950s, but research results have not remained. Now safety of the burial ground is threatened by the river.

      The expedition members will work on the burial ground for a little bit longer than one month. It should be noted that the excavations have been carried out for 12 years already. Two burial grounds, two settlements, and ritual constructions of the bronze age have been studied during this period.

      Altogether about 100 archaeological monuments of various epochs are known to researchers in the Stepnoye Settlement and neighboring villages.
