Anzhi get another top-class player ahead of the season, snatching Igor Denisov from Zenit St Petersburg.

Earlier, the captain of Russia's national football team had a fallout with the team's coach and the management over pay.

The conflict sparked after Zenit signed on Hulk and Witzel for a total of €100 million.

Denisov refused to play until he gets a higher salary.

The conflict was resolved several weeks later but most probably it wasn't the end of the story.
