Foreign paleontologists gathered in Yakutia to discuss the unique discovery of local scientists. The mammoth,  found on Lyakhovsky Islands of Laptev Sea, is a sensation for the whole world. Liquid blood is the main breaking new in study of prehistoric animals.

The excavations were conducted using a jackhammer because usual steaming could lead to loss of a valuable biomaterial. The liquid flowed out of ice after one of the hit. Biologists ascertained there was no clotting in mammoth blood. Incoagulated blood can be a source of material, which scientist fiction could only dream of. The finding can help to solve a long-standing question - for what reasons mammoths had extinct.
