The press service of the ‘Bank of Moscow’, which is establishing bike rental shops together with Moscow Municipality, reported about 8 recorded cases of bike thefts in 8 working days.

Meanwhile, bikes quite similar to stolen ones could already be found for sale in the web ads. The first 50 rental shops opened in Moscow on June 1-st.  After a while the shops number will increase to 114. As it was reported earlier 1000 bikes out of projected 1700 have been already purchased by now. 1000 US dollars value each, the bikes are manufactured of unique parts, and hence Municipality authorities invoke people on handling bikes with great care.
