The Private Collections Museum (10, Volkhonka St.) has opened the exhibition of Illarion Golitsyn’s works timed to the 85th anniversary since the artist’s birth.

      The exhibition is titled Illarion Golitsyn. Over 100 works: drawings, water colors, and engravings from collections of the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts and the artist’s family.

      Illarion Vladimirovich Golitsyn (1928-2007) was an artist who played a significant role in the history of Russian art of the second half of the 20th century.  The blossoming of engraving art in the 60s was associated with his name.

      The exhibition presented in the Private Collections Department of the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts gives visitors a unique opportunity to get acquainted with various forms of graphic art by Illarion Golitsyn - a magnificent artist, and a sensitive and attentive person.

      The exhibition runs till September 1.
