The new controversial law on the Russian Academy of Sciences will require an additional RUR 500 million.

      The news comes among heated debates around the new draft that would see drastic changes to the way the scientific community is run today.

      The Academy itself is against the new bill but the president and the prime minister appear to be determined to proceed with a major overhaul whose result is hard to predict.
