SWISS will commence a direct flight between St Petersburg and Geneva on 25 July 2013, reports RIA News.
There will be two flights weekly (on Mondays and on Thursdays) to start with, increasing to 3 flights a week from 7 September (the flight will be done on Saturdays). The route will be flown with an Airbus A319 or A320.
The new rout will be comfortable for people both travelling to Switzerland and to the sky resorts of Austria, France and Italy. It takes only an hour or two by car or by train to get there from Swiss airports.
SWISS serves 17 destinations direct from Geneva airport, including one intercontinental service to New York John F. Kennedy Airport. 24 other destinations are available under codeshare arrangements.
