The Israeli embassy in Russia has gone on strike and does not receive any applications, according to a post on its official account on Facebook. Exceptions are made only for emergency cases.

Israel's diplomats have been demanding a pay rise and better conditions for several months, causing a major disruption.

According to earlier reports, they refuse to arrange official state visits, and the current prime minister once had to rely on the defense ministry.
