The Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts will open the exhibition Thoughts and Acts: Medals by Jane McAdam Freud on July 15.
Jane McAdam Freud is the daughter of the famous English artist Lucian Freud (1922-2011) and the great-granddaughter of Sigmund Freud. She is a versatile and talented artist, sculptor and medalist known all over the world. Her works gained recognition quite early – she had her first personal exhibition at the age of 18. Since then art works by Jane McAdam Freud have been regularly displayed in museums, galleries and institutes worldwide.
The exhibition will give an opportunity to general public to get acquainted with medal talent of Jane McAdam Freud. Little plastic by Jane McAdam Freud represents the medal as a form reconstructed, reconsidered and processed into an idea. The exhibition will include 21 medals.
The exhibition will run till September 30, 2013.
