On July 18 the Multimedia Art Museum will open the photo exhibition Concentration of a Still, or Known and Unknown Langman.
Candid shots of the 1930s, simple and honest: collective farms, billiards, schools and restaurants.
Eleazar Langman, who considered himself a disciple of Alexander Rodchenko, practiced music and architecture, drew posters and prepared printer’s dummies. He tried his wings in photography rather late, and nevertheless became quite a famous press photographer. Langman never used requisite or production elements, since he was sure that reality itself gave enough material for pictures.
The exhibition will be open till September 8.
