Sand Sculpture Festival to be Held in St. Petersburg

International Sand Sculpture Festival 2013 will be held on the beach of the Peter and Paul Fortress, St. Petersburg from July 18 to August 31.

      Both Russian and foreign sculptors will participate in the festival this year called The Island of Fairy Tales. Sculptors will turn sand into the most well-known fairy tale characters. Children’s workshops and a competition for the best sand figures will be organized.

      The exhibition will be open for visitors from 10 am till 9 pm.
