Sapsan Business class carriages #1 and #2 have been modernized to offer a higher quality service to passengers of Russian Railways.

Carriage #1 has been equipped with adjustable backrest, individual lighting, built-in audio-visual unit, socket between seats for tablets, laptops and recharging, folding or window table.

Now in a modernized Sapsan one can hold negotiations at a four-seat salon-coupe (VIP), which is located next to the train driver cabin.

Since December this year Sapsan carriage #1 will turn its class to “1 class” from “business”.

The Sapsan is a high-speed electric train of the Velaro RUS series produced by Siemens Transportation Systems, and capable of a maximum speed of 250 km/h. The train is composed of 2 business class, 7 economy class carriages and 1 bistro car.
