From July 16 to July 20 the Russian Seasons of the 21st Century will present six ballets from Russia in the Coliseum Theatre in London.
Maris Liepa Charity Foundation project for revival of well-known Russian ballets of the early 20th century is headed by the illustrious dancer’s son, the People’s Artiste of Russia Andris Liepa. The British theatre-lovers will see the ballet Cleopatra — Ida Rubenstein by Patrick de Ban, as well as five most popular stage productions by Mikhail Fokin: Vision of Rose, "Shekherazada, Chopiniana, Polovets Dances and The Firebird.
Performances of the Russian Seasons of the 21st Century enjoy wide popularity both in Russia, and in London and Paris. In 2011 Andris Liepa presented in Coliseum Diaghilev's ballets Blue God, The Firebird, Tamara, Shekherazada, Armida's Pavilion, Bolero and The Afternoon of a Faun.
