The illustrious State Omsk Folk Chorus will crown this summer with a large-scale tour in Western Europe.

      From July 31 to September 3 it will give dozens of concerts in the cities of France and Italy, and participate in several large international festivals.

      The glorified team will perform at prestigious Mondial Folk festivals in the cities of Amelie les Bains and Plozevet, France, and Susa, Italy. These festivals held under the auspices of the CIOFF at UNESCO have rich history and traditions.

      Annually teams from 15 to 20 countries of the world take part in the festival. This year these are performers from Colombia, Greece, Indonesia, Senegal, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Portugal, Spain, Poland, the Czech Republic, Ukraine and other countries.

      Following the results of a competitive selection the Omsk Russian Folk Chorus became the only Russian group to present our country at these festivals.

      The key point of the tour will be the 16th Russian Art Festival in Cannes from August 23 to August 27.
