Vodka Production Drops 40 percent

Vodka output in June 2013 plunged almost 40 percent compared to last year, says the Lenta.ru news outlet.

      Manufacurers have linked the slide with growing consumption of bootleg alcohol. Retail stores need to have the same automated measuring equipment installed at every POS.

      Some have expresses doubts that the proposed move could work since a lot of counterfeit liquor is sold by shops that do not have any licences
