Stock Exchange Down After Navalny Verdict

Russia's MICEX dropped more than 20 points after the Kirov court handed down a five-year jail sentence to opposition blogger Alexey Navalny.

      The verdict might be seen by private investors as another hurdle to investing in Russia.

      Jail sentences delivered high profile cases like the Pussy Riot punk prayer or Alexey Navalny's Kirovles trial have continuously damaged Russia's image abroad, experts say.
