Rosneft Begins Oil Exploration in Barents Sea

Rosneft has announced that it launched field seismic operations at Fedynsky and Central Barents license areas.

      Explored by Rosneft jointly with Eni, Italy’s major oil company, Fedynsky block of 38 thousand sq. km is located in the ice-free part of the Barents Sea. Central Barents block of 16 thousand sq. km borders Fedynsky from the North.

      Rosneft says its exploration works in the Barents Sea are in compliance with all environmental standards.
