Guus Hiddink has quit Anzhi after two disappointing matches at the start of the 2013-2014 season.

He will be replaced by René Meulensteen, who joined his team earlier after leaving Man United, where he worked alongside Alex Ferguson.

Anzhi Makhachkala came third last year but the owner, billionaire Suleiman Kerimov, obviously had more ambitious goals.
