Monument to TV Inventor to be Unveiled in Moscow

A monument to Vladimir Zworykin - one of the inventors of television – has been set up in the park near the Ostankino TV center.  

      The monument will be unveiled on July 29, the day marking the 125th anniversary since the birth of the inventor of television.

      Vladimir Zworykin’s granddaughter Sandra Knudsen and his biographer Frederick Olessi, as well as heads of the profile ministries and departments, TV channels and the National Association of Teleradio Speakers will take part in the unveiling ceremony.

      The event will start at 4 pm.
