Rare Animals Aboriginals of Yamal are allowed to hunt within natural preserve.

Dmitry Kobylkin, the governor of Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug approved resolution, which permits indigenous small-numbered peoples of the North to make their living and to hunt without written permission within protected area. This allowance spreads over Polyarno Uralsky national park, which was founded in 1996. The area of more than 32600 hectares is inhabited with many species of rare animals including those from Red List of Threatened Species. The natural preserve is managed by Department of Natural Sources Regulation, Forests and Petroleum Industry Development of Yamalo-Nenetsky Autonomous Okrug.
