Preparations for International Dog Sled Racing have begun in the Volga Region. Volga Quest International Dog Sled Racing will take place in January, 2014.

The races’ motto is “Volga is a great transport artery”. Competitors and their number are still being specified. Tolyatti-Ulyanovsk-Kazan route distance is 500 km long. Tolyatti  has already begun preparations. Route distance is 500 km long.

Nicolai Ettyne, the famous Russian dog sled racer from Chukotka – participant  of “Nadezhda” (Chukotka), Yukon Quest (Canada Alasca, USA), 2800 km long Arctic Barents and other races – was invited to hold marshal’s or the main referee’s duties.
