Vice rector of Russian Economic School has quit his job, two months after his boss Andrey Guriev left Russia citing fears for his freedom.
Konstantin Sonin, 41, who was widely tipped to head the liberal educational institution, stressed in his blog that his resignation wasn't due to any political motives.
Late in May, rector Guriev became a self-exile after the police launched a probe into a report he co-authored along with leading human rights activists about the legality of Mikhail Khodorkovsky's second trial.
