Poets’ Drawings From Literary Museum and Private Archives

On August 20 the State Literature Museum in Moscow will open the Drawings by Poets exhibition.

It covers the genre of poetic visual expression from the early 20th century till this day.

Poetic rhythm contains alternation of images, and drama poem reminds of frame montage. It is no mere chance that modern researchers of poetic language connect its meanings with visual phenomena.

Visitors will see visual artworks by the outstanding poets, such as Velimir Khlebnikov, Maksimilian Voloshin, Joseph Brodsky, Mikhail Kuzmin, Vladimir Mayakovsky, and many others.

The exhibition runs till September 15.
