Moscow is becoming the world's leader in the volume of metro construction, with dozens of kilometer in the pipeline for the next couple years.

      According to Marat Khusnullin, deputy vice mayor in charge of construction, 12 km of new underground lines appeares over the last two years.

      12.5 km of metro are due to be put into operation in 2013.
