The alliance of three major car producers in Russia - Renault, Nissan and Avtovaz - has seen its share of the Russian market shrink below 30 percent in 1H 2013, despite earlier plans to capture 40 percent of the market by 2016, says Vedomosti.
The manufacturers have dismissed the concerns of the analysts cited by the daily, insisting on a positive outlook.
Avtovaz pins its hopes on a new Lada Granta hatchback, B- and C-class crossovers to be introduced into the market as part of a major overhaul worth $6 billion.
