The Tyumen Region governor Vladimir Yakushev met the princess Olga Kuikovskaya Romanova in Tobolsk on August 10.
They visited the exhibition August Artist and discussed foundation of the Imperial Family Museum.
The exhibition has been opened in the Tobolsk Historical and Architectural Memorial Estate in the framework of celebrations of the 400th anniversary of the Romanovs dynasty. It represents over two hundred multilayered water colors, a range of paintings, as well as paraphernalia of Olga Aleksandrovna Romanova - the younger daughter of Emperor Alexander III and the sister of the last Russian Emperor Nicholas II.
After seeing the exhibition, Vladimir Yakushev wrote a comment in the guestbook, and then addressed Kuikovskaya Romanova with a request to render assistance in foundation of the Imperial Family Museum in Tobolsk. It will be located in the former House of Tobolsk Governors: this is where the imperial family was staying during the period from August 13, 1917 to April 13, 1918.
