The actor Vladimir Mashkov has completed playing in the first part of the 8-serial feature film Rasputin.
The historical drama will tell the viewers about life and destiny of the well-known Siberian elder. After nearly half a year of daily work the actor is going take well-deserved rest till January next year.
St. Petersburg and Veliky Novgorod have been selected for shootings of the first part. The art director Vladimir Svetozarov has built apartments of the main characters in Petersburg. In Novgorod the film crew shot episodes from Rasputin’s life in the Siberian village Pokrovskoye. The Antoniev Monastery and Vitoslavlitsy Reserve Museum with built scenery of houses have become the main settings for it.
The film director Andrey Malyukov still has to complete shooting the most tragic scenes from Rasputin's life, with the most mysterious of them being the murder scene. The film shooting will be resumed in January, 2014 in St. Petersburg.
