Borodino As A Gift For Museum

A new exhibit was donated to The Military Historical Museum of Artillery, Engineers and Signal Corps.

The Military Historical Museum of Artillery, Engineers and Signal Corps in Saint Petersburg has received a mockup of Borodino battle. The author, Michael Parfenov placed over the battlefield about 1,500 three-dimensional figures of cavalry and infantry soldiers, officers and generals of opposing armies, about 100 artillery guns, caissons, limbers and carriages. All figures are presented in an authentic military uniform of Patriotic War of 1812. The work on the large-scale model took several years. The exhibition is now open and is placed in one of the museum halls. The mockup is occupying the center stage in the exposition hall, dedicated to field marshal Mikhail Illarionovich Kutuzov and history of Patriotic War of 1812. It will become the part of permanent exhibition.
