Construction of pedestrian bridges in the Olympic Park is almost complete. 

Construction of five pedestrian bridges in Sochi comes to end. They will provide the passage of 2014 Olympics guests’ main flow towards ice palaces in Olympic Park. Supports and metalwork are already done, railings and lighting system are installed, roadway arrangement works completed. Finishing layer of coating is made with crumb rubber produced from recycled automobile tires. On a specialized plant, old tires are processed into a universal construction material, at present days used in artificial football fields, running tracks and tennis courts. In addition, the bridges will be an important transport corridor for first aid vehicles and fire brigades.
