A monument of the Tambov Region - Tatar Shaft, which was a reliable barrier against Tatar attacks – now faces serious danger on part of local residents.

Maladroit summer residents and new settlers while clearing their plots from garbage have arranged a dump of building and household wastes in vicinities of the historical venue. Works on clearing the historical place have been conducted since the end of July. So far about 500 tons have been removed, but 200 tons of garbage are still there to be taken out.

After the cleaning is over, strict control of the monumental site will be exercised.
