Southern Regions Unite In A Ring

Regions of southern Russia intend to create a joint tourist route.

It is planned to create a new inter-regional tourist route in southern Russia. As the governor of Astrakhan Oblast said on Coordination Council for Development of Resorts and Tourism, the new direction will be called "Southern Ring". The route needs to be considered carefully.

According to the executive secretary of the inland tourism committee of Association of Tour Operators of Russia Lyubov Yamutova, the route must be divided into sectors, there must be the best guides and the tour itself has to be very intense. Representatives of Volgograd Oblast, Krasnodar and Stavropol Krais, Republic of Kalmykia, as well as travel industry leaders attended the meeting of Coordinating Council. On first stage they proposed to open the "Steppe Ring" route, which will include cities of Rostov-on-Don, Volgograd and Astrakhan.
