"Milk Holiday" appreciated by the townspeople will be held at Theatre Square of N. A. Bestuzhev State Russian Drama Theatre on September 6. Five-meter pneumatic figure of Buryonka cow is the symbol of event. By tradition, townspeople and visitors will see live cows and become familiar with milking process. This year the festival is going to beat the record of Russia: to fill up 1000-liter mug – country's largest mug – with milk.
On September 6, the editor-in-chief of Book of Russian Records, Stanislav Kononenko will arrive to Ulan-Ude to note the record. Milk and dairy sales as well as presentation of new products are also expected. Entertaining and sporting competitions were planned as part of the celebration. Winners and participants will be awarded with prizes and diplomas.
