A monument to the heroine of the Great Patriotic War - the bush-fighter Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya will be unveiled today in front of the Culture Center of Ruza town in Moscow area.
Sculpture created by Zurab Tsereteli is about 4.5 meters high together with the pedestal.
The bronze sculpture has been donated to the town by the Russian Military and Historical Society and the monument’s author Zurab Tsereteli.
The monument will be unveiled two weeks prior to September 13 — the 90th anniversary since the birth of Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya who aged 18th was killed by fascists in 1941 in Petrishchevo Village of the Ruza area.
