Eastern Mari Dance Sets The Record

New world record of longest Eastern Mari dance was set at "Silver Rope 2013" festival in Bashkiria. The length of dancing line reached 2 km 300 m. 


Every hundred meters markings were applied on the central street of Kaltasy town, blocked up for car traffic. There were more than 3,5 thousand people dancing. They were not only district and republic residents, but festival participant coming from Mari El, Udmurtia and Yekaterinburg as well.
