The Pushkin State Museum has opened the exhibition Among People, My Very Own…and Strangers…
It is the largest intermuseum project of the recent years dedicated to the writer Ivan Turgenev.
18 state museums, archives and libraries of Russia, as well as private collectors and artists have become participants of the exhibition.
The exposition displayed in three halls connects life and literary heritage of Ivan Turgenev.
Among the most valuable exhibits there are paraphernalia of the writer and people from his environment, as well as autographs, manuscripts, portrait paintings, rare daguerreotypes and photos, etc.
The exhibition runs from September 3 to December 15. Lots of exhibits will be displayed to general public for the first time.
