Memorable events dedicated to the Remembrance Day of the victims of the bombing of Stalingrad in 1942 were held in Gorodishchenskiy District of Volgograd Oblast.

The mourning meeting was held on Rossoshinskoe military memorial cemetery. Then the remains of 793 defenders of Stalingrad were committed to earth with military honors. This very day 71 years ago Stalingrad suffered massive bombing attacks of Nazi aircraft, which killed more than 40 000 civilians, old people, children, and the city was ruined.
