Vremena Goda Gallery in Moscow opens The Parallel World exhibition of works by the largest Italian hyper realist artist Luciano Ventrone.
The exposition includes his selected still life paintings, as well as the Mosaic painting exhibited in the national pavilion of Italy at the 54th Venetian Biennial of Modern Art.
When seeing works by Luciano Ventrone for the first time you will be wondering: is it photography or digital printing? However the artist creates these reflections of reality with a usual paint brush and oil paints on canvass.
Luciano Ventrone’s still life paintings, landscapes and nude compositions focus on real objects, spaces or characters. The artist conveys them on canvass with perfect attention to details, the subtlest nuances of light and shade, following the traditions of Caravaggio and other classics of realistic painting.
The exhibition will take place from September 19 to October 31.
