In the period of January-August 2013 Moscow drivers have preferred Volkswagen when buying a new car, report Gazeta.ru, referring to Analytic Agency Autostat.
In the first eight months 2013 the sales level of passenger cars has made up 245 780 in the Russian capital. It is 8% less than that of the same period of 2012.
19 400 cars out of the total amount of the sold cars are under the brand Volkswagen.
The Korean Kia has become second popular brand with 19 080 cars sold. Another Korean brand Hyundai is the third leader in the Moscow market with 17 790 cars sold.
The most demanded automobile models are Hyundai Solaris, Ford Focus, Skoda Octavia.
The Russian produced brand Lada Largus has taken only 21st place.
